“The Autonomic Nervous System”

June 3, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Thursday 3rd June 2021, 19:00  with Dr Nick Marcer

“The Autonomic Nervous System”

The anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system is taught widely in basic medical and osteopathic training  However, many of us have long forgotten those basics, or didn’t fully grasp them in the first place. This webinar aims to refresh those basics, to dispel certain myths and to link the importance of this system to osteopathic practice. We will examine the basic differences between the ANS and the somatic system, revisit the anatomical layout and simply define the basic physiology that creates its autonomy. The webinar will be illustrated with word-slides, clear diagrams and some anatomical dissection slides related to the ANS.

The course instructor is Dr Nick Marcer an author, researcher, osteopath and anatomist with over 30 years experience of teaching. His professional life has taken him from his initial training in England to various countries where he has lived and worked; Italy, Austria, United States and Switzerland. A vast and varied professional experience will be injected into the course. Dr Nick Marcer PhD, MSc Ost, DO, MIAS
