Roadshows return for 2022!

We’ve been patiently waiting for over two years, but at last, we can confirm that the iO team will be travelling across the country to meet you at a series of roadshows to be held over the coming months. We are delighted to announce that we will be visiting Wales, Scotland, the North of England and the Midlands, ending with a final roadshow in London in the autumn.

Maurice Cheng, CEO said of the prospect of getting back to face-to-face events:

‘The virtual meeting platforms that we are all now used to have been great in reaching out to the osteopathic community over the last couple of years. However, as we move – gratefully – past the pandemic focus, and again devote all our efforts to grow the profession and gain the recognition it deserves, we feel we need to engage with members face-to-face, understand your priorities and the direction that you want ‘21st-century Osteopathy’ to take.’

Event information

The Roadshows are an opportunity to meet the iO team and fellow osteopaths share views, ideas and best practices. The events are open to all osteopaths and will comprise a variety of roundtable discussions and practical, informative workshops including:

  • Evolving Careers: Creating options for osteopaths – We will consider how we gain appropriate recognition of our training and expertise as well as how we increase the variety of options for developing your career and practice.
  • Building recognition through healthcare engagement and public promotion –Providing advice and tools in how best to support recognition of your practice.
  • Mentoring, support networks, and professionalism in healthcare – A series of case-based development discussions to further support your CPD.

We will also welcome guest speakers from the regulator, the General Osteopathic Council. We look forward to seeing you there!

The full-day events will be able to be considered CPD, meeting OPS standards for Professionalism and keeping knowledge up to date. In addition, your opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from the area and grow professional networks may provide opportunities for discussions that can support both objective feedback and peer discussions.
