GP’s Guide to Analgesia

October 17, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

GP’s Guide to Analgesia

Dr Rebecca Suri takes our group through the musculoskeletal presentations she commonly sees in General Practice, the NHS protocols for dealing with joint and muscle dysfunctions, and the methodology of prescription analgesics.

Dr Suri has been serving her local community in the Midlands for __ years and has a wealth of experience in managing patients with chronic and persistent pain presentations.

During this course, Dr Suri will detail the different analgesic options available to patients from their GPs on the NHS, the prescribing protocols that determine the allocation of medications to particular patient groups, as well as physiotherapy and social prescribing options.

For the second section of the tutorial, Dr Suri has kindly offered to demonstrate the corticosteroid injection therapies she implements in practice, performed on model joints, for delegates to observe and ask questions.

Dr Suri will then welcome questions from attendees in the final part of the evening, particularly regarding the collaboration between osteopaths and GPs in the wider holistic management of their shared patients.
