Following a generous donation from the Northern Counties Society of Osteopaths (NCSO) we are delighted to be able to re-open the iO’s Hardship Fund for applications from iO members who are experiencing severe financial hardship as a result of the impact of COVID-19.
The fund was set-up to provide those who have been hit the hardest by COVID-19, a small but welcome amount that they can use for essentials until they can accessed more established support.
Those in the direst of circumstances can apply for a one-off payment of up to £250 to tide them over, whilst they await their reliefs and benefits to be received.
Georgina Leelodharry, Head of Operations at the iO said: “Despite many generous donations from across the profession since its launch, we had been overwhelmed with requests for support and found ourselves in a position where applications exceeded the funds available, leading us to have to suspend the fund to new applications.
“We would therefore like to extend a very sincere thank you to NCSO for their support of the fund, together with everybody who has been so generous to donate to date, enabling us to re-open for applications.
“We know these grants make a very real and significant difference to the lives of those – our colleagues – who have found themselves in financial hardship.”
To apply for a grant please complete the attached application form and email it to enquiries@iosteopathy.org
