We are delighted to announce that Glynis Fox has been elected as Vice President of the Institute of Osteopathy. Hailing from Edinburgh, Glynis has been a member of the Scottish Osteopathic Society since graduating in 1997 and runs a dynamic community group for osteopaths in the Edinburgh area.
A great advocate for the Osteopathic Development Group’s mentoring programme, and an experienced mentor herself, she specialises in building osteopathic support and community, most recently during COVID-19 lockdown when she was instrumental in providing an online support network for colleagues.
Glynis’s ambition for her time as Vice President is to further bring our profession together, encouraging greater collaboration and support between established osteopaths, and greater guidance to newer graduates so that every osteopath, no matter what their experience, has the support they need throughout their career. She says: “This is the right time for me to give back, lending my passion and skillset to continue to develop the profession.”
Susan Farwell, iO President said of Glynis: “I am delighted to welcome Glynis as our Vice President and look forward to working with her. Glynis’s knowledge of, and commitment to, the osteopathic profession will be invaluable as we osteopaths continue to take our place in UK healthcare. I am particularly pleased that Glynis’s election will strengthen the representation of the devolved nations in the Institute.”
