Dr Bill Gunnyeon CBE, has been appointed as the GOsC’s next Chair of Council. He will take over from current Chair, Alison White, in April. The GOsC is also seeking two new registrant members and one lay member to join their council. Applications close 4 December
Outgoing Chair of Council, Alison J White, who will has served two terms as Chair of Council, announced Bill’s appointment on 21 November.
Bill, who is currently the Chair of the GOsC’s Policy Advisory Committee, has spent most of his career in the occupational health field. He’s held several senior and high-profile roles in the private and public sectors, involving professional and strategic leadership as well as commercial and business development responsibilities. The depth and range of his experience will be a major asset to the future of GOsC.
GOsC would like to thank Alison for her tireless efforts over the past eight successful years. Alison has been instrumental in shaping osteopathic regulation, advancing the work of the GOsC and the osteopathic profession.

The GOsC is seeking two new registrant members and one lay member to join their Council. The positions contribute to the strategic direction and scrutiny of the work of the General Osteopathic Council.
Applications are welcome from those who can bring insight and experience from their careers to the Council’s work in protecting the public and developing the profession. Appointments will commence on 1 April 2020 (initially for up to four years). The closing date for the Registrant (osteopath) positions is noon on 4th December and applications will close at noon on 11th December for the lay member position.
